Wading the Huron
by AAGUYINGR
To my surprise, there's some nice spots along the Huron River between Dexter and Ann Arbor for flyfishing. Smallmouth bass put up a fun fight thru the fall and decent holes are accessable from the roadside and area parks. Depending on water level, hip waders are fine, use a 4 to 6 wt rod and the shorter the better. Typical wet and dry flies, I use about any Mayfly pattern year 'round. Adams and caddis are typical fare.

The atmospher in this restaurant is very simpatico -- comfortable, vibrant, visually pleasing. The staff is exceptional, and the owner, Roland, is the perfect host. We often go to the bar, enjoy a drink, and maybe an appetizer. Without fail, we meet interesting people there. Chilean Sea Bass
Passionate about Food

A quaint little (approx 15 tables) fine dining establishment in downtown Ann Arbor. When the waitress comes over and rattles off the whole menu, I knew I was in for a good experience and the food didn't disappoint. Been once and had the lobster stuffed fillet with bearnaise. My wife had scallops that were unbelievable...oh yeah and the bread is delicious. The whole experience was an orgasm for the senses.

Take your time on walking in this area, well, if you don't feel cold! It's pretty when you walk on the streets there, it's a wonderful campus, and you will feel very comfortable while you're walking! ;)
Fun College Town
by mwenn2100
"Cut Short"
While dating a Michigan boy way back when, he took me back to his college town to meet up with some friends and show me where he had spent a large portion of his life. We drove up on a Friday and only planned on staying until Sunday, but due to a family emergency had to leave Saturday morning so unfortunately I didn't get to see much of the town.
From what I did see (on a bustling Friday night mind you) the town seemed very hip and a lot of fun. There was a wide variety of people of all ages, considering this is mostly a college town. Ann Arbor is a very liberal, clean and lively city. Even though I only got to see it for a few hours it was a night I will never forget.
