Very diverse. Ann Arbor is like little Asia because of so many asian students. They all hang out in the starbuck's...all 4 of them. Lots of Jewish people as well. A very interesting atmosphere of intelligent people.

Nothing very special about the restaurant. I think the company, which is based in Indiana, pumped a lot of money into the Main Street. renovation. It matches nicely with the rest of the "upscale urban" look of downtown Ann Arbor. However, I’m of the opinion that the upscale urban looks too artificial to be interesting.
The chocolates are okay, better than Hershey's for sure, but not quite excellent. The chocolate is presented nicely, and the taste is good for fresh chocolate. However, I'd recommend staying away from the non-chocolate desserts. For example, I find that their caramels are waxy and lacking flavor, perhaps made with alternative ingredients. Additionally their toffee lacks enough texture, and has a slightly burnt flavor. On the other hand I do recommend the peanut butter meltaways. The flavors are very nicely balanced, and delicious. The fondue is a great value I think. I usually get the 2-person fondue tray. On my last visit it was priced less than $8. For the amount and breadth of dunkables you get, it’s a great price. Make sure you’ve eaten something substantial before you come though, or else you’ll be leaving with a sore stomach.
Knight's is, hands down, the best steak spot in Ann Arbor. Not real well known, but, recently featured in Detroit's HOUR magazine, Knight's buys the absolutely best beef that can be had. From a burger from their fabulous ground chuck to the tenderloin and top-line(T-bone, Porterhouse, etc.) steaks, I don't think I've ever had better, especially in Ann Arbor! Everything else on the menu is great too, but, the beef is more than noteworthy!! Rib eye with fried potatoes, veggies & Caesar salad.
This little gem of a restaurant has about five tables and five bar stools at the counter, but what it lacks in space is more than compensated with one of the best (and cheapest) menus in town served with a healthy side of hospitality. This tiny spot consistently wins local 'Best of ...' awards from most of the newspapers for 'best cheap eats' and often 'best Middle Eastern food.' Falafel with hummus sandwich (About $3 USD) and a cucumber/yogurt salad (About $2 USD).
If interested in the college's sports and teams past and present, be sure to visit the University of Michigan Margaret Dow Towsley Sports Museum. It has a lot of exhibits and will leave you knowing more than you (or at least I) ever wanted to know about the Univeristy's athletes.
