Drink like a local
by Yorick12
Ann Arborites love their beer and for good reason. Michigan has lots of great micro-breweries. The two most popular are Bell's and Arcadia. Both can be found at many of the local pubs. But there are plenty of others. Also try heading down to Grizzly Peak Brewing Company (which also has great food) or Arbor Brewing Company.
Best food & service
by annarborsef about West End Grille
Tables graced by candelight & white tablecloths. We have dined here regularly & have never left the restaurant without being completely satisfied. Service is outstanding, without being overbearing. Try the herb encrusted beef tenderloin or the Chilean sea bass for entree. The May Tag blue cheese tarts and crab cakes are the best appetizers.
Looking for a fast, cheap bite to eat?
by Yorick12 about Red Hot Lovers
Red Hot Lovers is great! They're known for their 'Chicago Style' hot dogs, but they also offer lots of vegetarian sandwiches. Menu includes: burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, tofu dogs, no dogs, tempura burgers, etc. Add all the condiments you like for free. My favorite meal: tofu dog with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, sprouts and mayo with side of waffle fries (don't knock it till you try it!). Very fast service, order at the counter and sit yourself. Only cons: no air (gets pretty hot in the summer, though you can eat outside) and they have weird hours (closing at 6 or 7pm I think).
Seva
by SilverVelvet about Seva
Seva is an overpriced, but popular vegetarian restaurant. The menu includes pasta, Mexican, and chargrilled entrees in addition to soups and salads. Like many restaurants in Ann Arbor, they have outdoor seating and a comedy club downstairs.

Burton Memorial Tower, located on Central Campus, is home to a 55-bell Baird Carillon. You can climb to the top and hear the bells being played Mon-Fri from noon-12:30. It also offers nice views of Central Campus.
