"A Friendly Place"
Birmingham is one of the more prosperous cities in the US.
Take a train: Birmingham train station is a plexiglass shelter which has benches and lights. Unfortunately, the station is now part of the Big Rock Chop and Brew House Restaurant located at 245 S. Eton, and the future of this boarding site is in some doubt. For there is only one round trip per day now that serves the city. Of course, there is free parking if you have a car. You can get a train from here and go anywhere in North Ameica; that is when the trains are running. It's a shame that nobody realizes how important the trains are. Ask any European. Only in America.
There is no public transit service to the shelter, but bus service is available on nearby Maple Rd. Of course, we can walk there for it is only about .5 mile to Birmingham Depot/Plexiglass Station.
