"Home of M.I.S"
When ever we go to Michigan our main stop is Michigan International Speedway located in the small town of Brooklyn, MI. It is here that we make most of our memories in the States. I have been 5 times, and each time is different. The heat is usually blazing, but the fans are there all the same. Loud noises and the smell of burning rubber is the high light of my summer (along with the local Pow wow). If your a true NASCAR fan, you have to stop at MIS along your NASCAR tour.
"August 2005"
When I went to Brooklyn in 2005 for the big race, I had a blast. My cousin and I went for a ride hours before the race started to check it out, and it was beautiful. We had fun on the way back. The one lane road was crowded however, but it was fun all the same. The time at the track was great. This one guy randomly came up to us offering us a free can of pop, I brother took it on our behalf (not that I would have dranken something given to me by a complete stranger). It was so hot that summer, we stood under the bleachers from time to time trying to get some shade. We walked around for about 15 min before we finally got to the showers, it was that hot. Our feet were klling us by the time we got back to the car. I can't wait till I am old enough to get a pit pass, till then I will still be going to get tickets to attend the race. Can't wait to go back to MIS next year!
