"Home"
Burton has been my home since 1998. I moved here after being robbed for the 3rd time in nearby, neighboring Flint. Although born and raised elsewhere, I consider Burton to be the town where I grew up.
I adore being close to everything. If I were really ambitious, I wouldn't even need a car. Everything I need is within a a 2 mile radius. My alma mater is 5 miles away, and my job at a Trauma 1 teaching hospital within a 10 mile radius.
Burton has a lot to offer with the convenience of the city and the relative safety of the suburbs. I live a mile near a jewel called For-mar Arboretum, and it is used to educate kids and adults alike about the natural flora and fauna of the area in which we live. But there is a down side.
Developers are moving into the area to build condos, so it is only a matter of time before my wild view is replaced by the concrete of a modern condo complex.
