Michigan State University has its own student-run radio station WDBM 88.9 fm, known as The Impact. They play a great line-up of college alternative bands as well as some local bands. It is paid for by students so there are no annoying commercial breaks.

Slight correction for MSU dairy store source
by dairyman
Actually the MSU dairy store does not use milk from the MSU dairy farm. For the reason that the farm produces more than the plant can handle at one time. Rather the milk from the farm is sold to the Michigan Milk Producer's plant in Ovid (1/2 hr NE of MSU), and when the dairy plant needs milk, it comes from the plant in Ovid, so while there is a chance some of the ice cream in the store may have originated from MSU dairy, it's not very likely, since that plant recieves from thousands of farms around Michigan...
However I fully agree that ithey make some of the best ice cream around, they make great cheeses too, including a chocolate cheese that kind of has a fudge flavor with cheese texture, it's definately different and worth a try. Stop in the store and try anything, everything in there is really good.

East Lansing is where I make my home, it is also one of my favorite destinations. Apparently other think so as well, because many Michigan residents make regular visits to East Lansing and MIchigan State University's campus. Both the campus and the city are like a giant park with lots of recreation opportunities that hosts a very friendly multi-cultural community.
