Great Locations, easy access
I've stayed here twice in 20 years. It continues to maintain the high quality of a Best Western. It's multi-stories overlooking the Portage Canal and the Ranger III (to Isle Royale) docks. Spacious rooms. In January, the building is warm with direct access to the snowmobile trails and covered parking (for snow mobiles) not cars.
A short walk into town and there are plenty of restaurants and shops. Very convenient. Only place I'd stay in the winter and my first choice in the summer.
