 | Landmark Inn: A Classic Hotel
| |
The Landmark Inn is a classic, renovated 1930s hotel which is located in downtown Marquette. This historic hotel is a three block walk to the shore of Lake Superior, so you will find views of the lake from some areas of the hotel. People staying at the hotel will find such extras as a sauna, whirlpools, and exercise room. Although I have not seen the rooms themselves, I have been told that they are uniquely and individually decorated. For extra luxury, there are even jacuzzi suites with fireplaces and views of Lake Superior available, as well as large two rooms, two bath suites. The Landmark also has two restaurants and two lounges. For more information, check out their website. It is very complete, including photos of rooms, and menus from their restaurants.
A number of famous people, from Louis Armstrong to The Rolling Stones have stayed at the Landmark Inn. Although the outside is quite plain, the inside, which was inspired by European styles, is much more elegant.
