Days Inn Petoskey

Our reason for picking this Days Inn were pretty simple - it was the only motel in the area that allows pets, and we were traveling with our beloved dog, Melody. As Days Inns go, it was well maintained. Not all of them can boast of this. And the front desk personnel were polite and helpful. Of course, being a Days Inn, the room was a little small, but it did have a half-size refrigerator and a microwave.

Unique Quality: This inn does have a unique feature that was added shortly before our booking the room: a "free" 24 hour "buffet." Except that it's not "free" - they raised the price of the rooms $10-15 to cover the food, and it's not really a buffet. There is a lot of junk food that you can heat in microwaves, plus frozen dinners in a freezer. It works well for breakfast, but we didn't get much use of it other than that. All in all - we didn't get our money's worth.
