Charming Country Inn with Great Food
Not only did we find this quaint property (in the center of the Historic Bay View district) to be in a super location, overlooking Little Traverse Bay, but the building, rooms, food, and service are top notch. They have a variety of room types, many with Fireplaces and Hot Tubs, and others with views of the lake. In the summer they serve 3 delicious meals a day in a very pretty Dining Room overlooking the lake.
One of the things that we liked best was the service, they treat you like family. Very welcoming and kind. We met many guests that said they come every year & a couple that visit several times a year and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Even if you don't stay here you MUST sample their Sunday Brunch! Very hard to beat!
Unique Quality: Even though they do not have televisions in the rooms you won't care! A great place to relax, they will serve you free Ice Tea and Lemonade out on the Front Porch or in what they call the Sun Room.
You can borrow a book from their Library, borrow a bike from their stash, or play Croquet on the front lawn (also overlooking the Bay).
The Community of Bay View surrounds the Inn and is fun to stroll thru or you can hike the trails of the Bay View Woods which has great marked trails meandering through 50 acres of hilly hardwoods.
Don't let their prices scare you off because they include breakfast or brunch every morning as well as your room. If you choose their basic room it is the best deal in Petoskey!!
