Suites of Saugatuck

I would only recommend this hotel as a $80 per night economy place. Their price is WAY off. the pool is terrible. It was green the week before the film festival. my family stayed there all week. we saw 2 sets of guests leave and not even spend the night. The manager is remodeling most of the hotel. we were the only ones there the first 3 days and the last 4 days there was one other group there.
their statement of walking distance to beaches is not the same as mine...more than a mile down a road that has no sidewalks or walking paths. Could not walk with young kids.

Unique Quality: does have great views down a ravine. we saw deer every night and we saw wild turkey one morning. Pool was GREEN for 3 days although the manager insisted was clean water and numerous times mentioned that he spent 42,000 on the pool. the surrounding trees really cause a problem for the debris in the pool. It is not heated. VERY COLD IN JUNE 2008 still. no phones or internet in the rooms or anywhere.
