Nice/comfortable hotel
Clean, friendly service, updated interior, breakfast buffet for purchase (which we didn't eat at.) Great price- 1.8 miles from Orpheum theatre- and right on the bus line.
Opinion of Price: less expensive than average

Holiday Inn Metrodome
The hotel was clean and the staff polite. i reserved a non smoking room and was given a room that smelled smoke my whole stay.
The room had enough space to work in as well. The high speed internet connection was included in the rate.
Unique Quality: Free internet access in the room Wireless Internet Access in the bar Good bar and barman Not too far away from the city centre

Holiday inn metrodome is right on the busline, easy to get to the Orpheum Theatre, Nicollett Mall, First Avenue Bar (where Prince was discovered). It's a .50 cent ride on the bus as long as your staying in Minneapolis-we didn't know this so paid the $1.75 price as listed on the entrance of the bus, still cheaper than cab fair, and easy to get around. One thing about Minneapolis is that it doesn't have alot of "storefront" type shopping, you can walk and walk for one store. If you want to shop probably best to go to Nicollett Mall-especially in cold weather. Locals also said "uptown neighborhood" has lots of shops-which we didn't go to.

Liked the local atmosphere of Grumpy's Tavern/Bar. The bartender was very personable and we liked the guitars on the wall-which are for sale. They had an old "red owl' logo guitar which is very cool and reminded me of red owl ware such as glasses etc. that I used to see in my grandparents cupboards in St. Paul. Was early in the day for much activity but liked the smell of the place, layout, etc and they have a menu. Close to the Holiday Inn Metrodome hotel. Bartender said they have some live events as well. Casual
