The center of town. A place for community gatherings and concerts. The building on the right is the old bank building in which the bank employees and townsfolks thwarted Jessie James' robbery attempt.
Two details inside Scoville Hall, which was the original library at the college. On the right the original stairway. On the left the water fountain given as the gift of the class that graduated in 1914. One can only imagine that a water fountain was a "new thing" back then. It is nice to see that it has survived though.
One winter's day I was driving across the bridge spanning the Cannon River and I saw all these geese hunkering down. I pulled over and took the photo. We usually have a few dozen ducks and geese milling about town, but in this case it was hundreds.
