Sanus Bosnian Cafe
Sanus is a jewel among the many chain restaurants scattered across the Rochester landscape. The only problem with this place is that no one seems to go there. Everytime that we have eaten there, it has been empty.
The menu is small, but the items on it are cooked to perfection. I enjoy the "pita," which is actually meat and onions stuffed in a flaky pastry which is covered in oil. It is so amazing. They also serve kabobs of lamb and beef in between two pieces of Bosnian bread, which is a lot like panini bread.
Sanus is also a coffee shop. You can get authentic Bosnian coffee which is served in a small gold pot with a sugar cube. The grounds are put directly into the water, which makes the coffee quite thick, but good. They also serve European and American coffees and desserts.
