My husband and I stayed at the Larsmont Cottages for a weekend stay- and had a wonderful experience. The Restaurant is SO GOOD and the people were so nice and helpful. The rooms are super clean, as were all of the facilities. Great visit- we will go back there without a doubt!

We just stayed at this resort and absolutely loved it! Our family goes to Lake Superior twice a year for the past 7 years and this is hands down the best resort we have visited.
The people are some of the nicest I ever met. Our family of 5 stayed in a 2 bedroom very comfortably (I believe I read it was over 1500 square feet), and when I asked to see a 3 bedroom for future travels they gladly gave us a tour. The 3 bedroom is also very nice, the only draw back is that each bedroom has a card reader for access so it is a bit less "homey". Also, the 2 bedroom has an open floor plan on the main level making the kitchen, dining and living room a great place to gather and entertain. The fireplace is against the wall instead of in the middle of the room like the 3 bedroom unit.
We stayed in unit 310 and lucked out since it is the closest to the water. It was so relaxing opening the windows and listening to the lake waves crash all night. We will definitely return!
Unique Quality: This is a new resort and they recently opened their lodge, which includes restaurant, pool, exercise room, espresso bar (morning), and ice cream station. The restaurant has an exhibition kitchen and boasts some fantastic wood fire oven meals. One example is the "Bourbon Planked Coho Salmon" which is a salmon grilled on a bourbon soaked cedar plank - very tasty! The indoor pool is huge and there is also an outdoor 4-season hot tub.

The Crusader II is on wooden stilts right next to the lighthouse in Two Harbors. It was built in 1939 by Ruben and Lars Hill of Larsmont, Minnesota and was christened by Crown Prince Olav of Norway. The Crusader II is just one example of the nearly 200 boats that were made by the Hills, the majority of which were used by fishermen on Lake Superior.
