Winter Lodge on the Lake
We stayed at Superior Shores for a weekend of snowmobiling. The hotel was pretty busy with other riders, all very friendly and excited to share their stories about their rides and the conditions of the trails. My husband and I reserved one of the jacuzzi suites, the one with the parking lot view. That didn't matter since we had the shades drawn when we were in the room anyways!
Our hotel room was newly remodeled, very clean, wonderful accommodations and had a very log cabin feel. There was a king sized, very comfortable bad, a couch with cable tv, a fridge, jacuzzi tub.
We didn't make it to the pool since it was filled with kids. The hotel has a great restaraunt and a nice bar. THey even have some movie rentals for a night spent in the room. The staff is very friendly andhelpful. In the bar there is a huge table shaped like a fish. It's beautiful, covered in glass and a wonderful place to chat with other travelers.
This hotel is also at a beautiful location, right on Lake Superior. It's off the highway so you don't hear the noise from vehicles. Beautiful woodsy setting, and only 20 short minutes from Duluth.
