Travel Tips for Bay Saint Louis
All things must come to pass....
Once upon a time, Roseamano's father had a house in Bay St. Louis Mississippi USA, until the Hurricane Katrina.
Though he evacuated safely in a timely manner, when he returned home to check it out, this was the welcome. He writes on 01 Sept :
"This is what my place in Bay St. Louis looked like this afternoon. The roof of the house is about 23
feet (7.5 meters) above ground level. My neighbor said the water was higher than the roof.
I'm still considering where I'm going to go, and what I'm going to do once my affairs in Bay St. Louis are settled."
I'm understanding now that since there essentially are no more possessions to consider, once the the telephone calls and arrangements are completed, the moment of freedom to start anew with empty hands comes suddenly.
Let's encourage those who were devastated in the disaster.
Coping after Hurricane Katrina
"RIP old Bay St. Louis and Thanks for the memories."
In the Mississippi Gulf Coast area, I'm told there was no flooding - only destroyed houses or else like in this case the contents of still standing house completely ruined due to strong winds and high sea wave only during the peak of the storm.
"Downtown Bay St. Louis"
This is a section of downtown compared to the scene prior to the disaster.
"Only thing left standing in nearby Waveland"
Though property and employment is lost, there are many things to gather and much work to be done.
Let's encourage those who were affected by the disaster.
