I stayed at the Beau for about a month in 1998 when the place was all but brand new. It was a very nice facility (and after a quick drive-by a few days ago it still seems very nice) with swimming pool, conference rooms, and huge suites for the guests. I have not been able to find current rates, but when I stayed here prices were comparable to beach front hotels with much better amenities at the Beaujolias. Its biggest negative is that it's located off the beaten path in D'Iberville, a few miles north of Biloxi. There is nothing within walking distance other than a redneck bar and a quick-stop/mini-mart/gas station. On the flip side, it is a great central location between Ocean Springs and Biloxi if you have business in both towns (now that the bridge is out!).
A romantic 1841 beachfront inn, FATHER RYAN HOUSE BED & BREAKFAST is located on Mississippi's Gulf Coast. It was once the home of Father A. J. Ryan, Poet Laureate of the Confederacy.
Hans and I like to stay at the BAYFRONT INN because it is close to the Treasure Bay, across the street from the beach and close to shops, restaurants and fast food outlets. The owners are always friendly and make you feel at home. Our spacious room had a queen size bed, cable T.V., and micro-fridge.
The Bayfront Inn has a swimming pool and is also located right across the street from the white sand beach. A deluxe continental breakfast is provided every morning from 6:am to 10:am. Coffee, tea, juice--hot and cold cereal---muffins, donuts and bagels---fruits (apples, oranges and bananas). All for the unbelievable price of $35.95 U.S. per night. (Sunday to Thursday) Rates higher on the weekends.
Wow..... I remember back in 1986 / 87 when I was stationed at nearby Keesler AFB. Every weekend we would find a cheap room in town, and make a night or weekend of it.....
La Linda is the one I remember coming to the most often.... We would often begin singing 'La Linda' on Wednesday, looking forward to the weekend.
I've had plenty of fun here.... can't tell you all about it here though.....
The "EZ Cash" place out front was a Taco Bell back then.....
Back then, this place was decorated like a Grandmother's House..... flowery wallpaper and pink tile.
I hope it's been renovated since.
