Our famous landmark, The Lighthouse. Dates back before the civil war. Was rumored to have been draped in black when Lincoln was killed. However this is not based on factual evidence. The myth may have begun when it was covered in tar at one point to keep it from rusting (hence the black color).
Located just down the street from Kessler AFB, R&C Korean is a very authentic Korean restaurant popular among the local military. They feature numerous Korean specialties such as Dolsot Bebimbap (rice, meat, egg, & veggie dish in a hot stone bowl), kalbi (barbecued short ribs), bulgoki (marinated & fried beef pieces), kimbap (Korean version of California rolls), mandu (fried dumplings) and various others. The employees are all Korean-Americans who really know what they are cooking, and they are very friendly. Highly recommended.
Built for Charles Redding, a prominent Biloxi businessman. the REDDING HOUSE (c.1908) is a marvel in its complexity of design and fine detail. It features 9 fireplaces, fine art murals, heart pine floors, mahogany and cyprus millwork and gorgeous wrap-around porches. The building is one of the finest Colonial Revival houses remaining in Biloxi.
Today, the Redding House hosts receptions and special events and serves lunch weekdays.
