st. andrew's episcopal church is located downtown next to the lamar life building. the st. andrew's episcopal church was established in 1839 and the cathedral you see today was built in 1903. this beautiful late gothic revival building has an interesting collection of stained glass windows. for those interested in architecture and art st. andrew's is worth a stop in downtown jackson.
What can I say...lol. It truly has been an expierence. If you are not accustom to larger cities it is not to bad. I am used to living in larger U.S. areas, so... you can guess how I feel. Typically,I find the people warm and friendly. However, I have found that it seems as though when individuals leave their homes to go out and about, THEY FORGET THEIR SOCIAL MANNERS !!! One must have patience being here, that is for sure. Amman, being larger than Irbid, is more tolerable. At least for me it has been. Irbid has been my temporay home now for 4 mnths with at least another 5-6 mnths to go. Inshallah, later I will place some pics online. Actually, in conversations that I have had with native Jordanians that have traveled outside their homeland, they too find the similar manner issues.
