Imiation Japanese restaurant

The restaurant does not have any redeeming qualities at all (how is that for objective writing). The restaurant is located on an extremely congested street, and the only way you will enter or exit the restaurant is travel north-bound on Ridgewood. The food is supposed to be Japanese, but you can definitely tell that it is infused with a Chinese flair to it (ask a Japanese if sugar is omitted from sushi rice recipe and see what type of reaction you get).
The locals rant and rave over their soba, but I would have to disagree as the soba I had was overcooked and soggy, and the soup base was nothing more than a diluted bowl of soy sauce and water. I’ve also tried the shrimp tempura lunch box, but it took them nearly an hour to make it. When finally I did get the lunch box, the shrimp was ice-cold and the tempura sauce looked like old greasy dishwater. Be warned, service is VERY slow and the owners do not compensate their customers for their shortcomings. Nothing was worth purchasing. I'll never go back again. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone seeking real Japanese food.
First Baptist Church

Across from the state capitol building, the gothic style First Baptist Church building (1927) is the third for this congregation that began in 1838. The 4 story educational building and 2 story chapel were added in 1952-55. This complex houses the largest Baptist congregation in the state of Mississippi.
