Coca Cola was first bottled here in 1894. The Museum contains reproduction bottling works. The candy store has been restored in the 1890 look of its day and sells fountain cokes, ice cream floats, homemade candy and Mississippi-made Fords’ dipped ice cream which of course we had to try. The gift shop has over one hundred Coca Cola items for sale.

General Lloyd Tilghman Memorial
General Lloyd Tilghman Memorial was the Commander of the 1st Brigade of Loring's Division. While he was manning an artillery piece near the close of the Battle of Champions Hill (18 miles east of Vicksburg) he was killed.

I lived in Vicksburg for most of my childhood . I graduated from highschool there and moved away after I got married. My parents and in-laws still live there so we go "home" quite often. We do not really do the whole tourist thing there though, so I don't really have much to say about it. I did work at a bed and breakfast while in highschool and would highly reccomend staying at one.
