"Oh, the horror."
I ended up in Branson on another school band trip. At one point there was a revolt. We had risen up and demanded of our band director that we either leave immediately or we were hijacking the buses. Branson is trying desperately to be the Scary Music Hall capital of the world, not to mention the Putt-Putt and Go-Kart Capitals as well. All the building are purple and made out of cardboard. We were subjected to a couple bad magic shows and the infamous "Jennifer" billboards at every turn. The Ozarks surrounding the city were breathtaking. Too bad there was all that neon and pancake makeup sitting in the middle of them.
