Carthage is on I-44 between Joplin and Springfield. It is on the historic old Route 66. The Precious Moments Chapel Center is on the south side of the town. It is a nice place but you should also be sure to visit the town. There is a great looking old court house down town surrounded by a square of shops. Most of the buildings around the sqauare are from the late 1800's. Carthage has two museums and there is much history associated with the town.
