More about Holiday Inn At The Plaza

Not in a MILLION YEARS!!!

by donovanel

Kansas City...Never would I have thought that I would enjoy Kansas City as much as I have. The only thing the city is missing, is a large body of water. With areas like Westport and the Plaza, Kansas City has something to offer everyone.

Kansas City will always be near and dear to me because this is where I first met my current boyfriend! AWWW so sweet! But we truly hit it off--as you can see from the picture...taken the first nite we met. The funniest part is, OUR FRIENDS were the ones going out on a date and we were both just kinda along for the ride (there were supposed to be a bunch of people and last-minute they backed out). So anyhow, here the 2 of us are hitting it off, and needless to say, our friends just didn't connect as well as we had!

Travel Tips for Kansas City

Cabela's Yukon Base-Camp Grill

by AlbuqRay

I do like to eat; however, the Yukon Base-Camp Grill was just okay the one time I ate there. I think many other people must agree with me since most of the 180 seats are usually empty (I have not been there at lunchtime though). They do have exotic wild game dishes and a "catch-of-the-day" selection. It is upstairs and overlooks Conservation Mountain and the rest of the store.

Kansas City's Shameful Attraction

by basstbn

Would you believe that this shameful pile of bricks was at one time Walt Disney's Laugh-O-Gram Studios? This is where Disney got into the cartooning business, and an office mouse named Mortimer would one day become Mickey Mouse. And the city of Kansas City, Missouri, can't get its act together to save this place from falling down!! And those idiots who are running Disney Studios now don't even care. Shame!! What a treasure is about to be lost. It's located at 31st Street and Tracy in mid-town KC.

A swank martini lounge

by HJ_ about Velvet Dog

This is a great place to go and just chill. Has a very relaxing feel with the leather booths and dark lights and artwork hanging on the walls. They offer a selection of different martins. Its just a great place overall. Its open from 4pm to 3am and serves food until midnight. casual

Do NOT leave KC without eating here!

by giampiero6 about Jack Stack BBQ

You have not eaten Barbecue until you have eated smoked barbecue in Kansas City. Hear me now and believe me. You cannot believe how delicious smoky, sweet and tender meat can be until you've eaten here. Huge pits of hickory logs burn ceaselessly, while tenders, turn meat, pour water to make smoke and turn an ordinary piece of beef or pork into a piece of pure heaven. You will never see BBQ the same way again if you've eaten here. The Crown Prime is unbelievably large and delectable and the burnt ends are the pinnacle of deliciousness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can order meat from here and it will arrive smoked, delicious on dry ice and ready to be heated and eated. :-)
