Clean, Convenient and Reasonably Priced
Microtel Inn & Suites KCI was clean and inexpensive. They run a shuttle back and forth to the airport, which allowed me to turn in the rental car the evening before our early morning flight (which gave us some extra slumber time along with a stress free ride to the airport the next day). It was nice to get up, sample the fare at the continental breakfast downstairs and then be driven to the airport.
