The Raphael Hotel is now listed as one of the historic hotels of America, even though most of its history is as the Villa Serena Apartments. It was originally constructed in 1927 and transformed into a hotel in 1975. The location is great but in my mind it is expensive for what you get unless you have one of their special rates. The lobby is small and so are their regular rooms; however, some of their suites (probably luxury apartments in their day) are quite nice. One thing for sure...you will have enough pillows.
