Not as bad as I thought it would be
When we arrived and saw the outside of this hotel we wanted to turn and run away. It looked old and rundown and the people sleeping under the overpass right outside left us feeling a bit uneasy. Once inside we found the furniture was new, had a hairdryer and cable. Bed was comfortable with new linens. Staff was very friendly & Helpful. The major problem with this hotel was that it was right beside the freeway so therefore if your room happens to be on that side like ours was, you are in for a night of noise. The location was not as close to the sites that we were hoping and had to walk for about 2 miles to reach the Arch, or maybe it just seemed like it. The area walking from the hotel to the arch did not feel very safe. It was not close to anything else except the riverfront, so we had to drive everywhere else. Parking was free at the hotel.
Overall not a bad experience for 2 college students that are budget travelers that was looking for a place to stay while in town (Everything else was booked up! There was a convention and a game on Friday & Saturday night!!) Although I probably wouldn't stay here again, id still say it was a good experience.
