WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO GO TO GRANT'S FARM FROM THE METRO EAST. WE WILL NOT BE DRIVING AFTER WE REACH THE PROPER METROLINK STATION IN ILLINOIS.
Honestly, it's looks to be pretty challenging to get to Grant's Farm by public transportation. A quick look shows that MetroBus route 10 is the only route which goes within a mile of Grant's Farm, and it only runs out as far as Grant's Farm once per hour for most of the day on weekdays and not at all on Saturday & Sunday. MetroLink connects to MetroBus route 10 at the Civic Center station.

It looks like it will take about 1.25 hours to get there from a point I selected from the metro east. (I used the Casino Queen Hotel Casino as a starting point since I did not know where you will be staying.)

This beautiful building located at Market Street was a very busy train station but is now converted into a shopping, restaurant, entertainment and a major hotel.
Worth spending an hour or two to explore.

This is a majestic Old Courthouse which is one of St. Louis landmark buildings for over 150 years.
There are several permanent exhibits inside with special events.
The courthous is famous courthouse for historical trials.
1) Freeing of black slave in 1847.
2) For woman's right to vote in the 1870s.
There is a tour to learn more about American 19th century court and law. But did not have time to join.
This imposing statue of Thomas Jefferson dominates the entrance hall of the Jefferson Memorial, now part of the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. The statue and the building were put up between 1911 and 1913 to commemorate the important role of the Third President in making arrangements for the Louisiana Purchase. The sculptor was Karl Bitter (1867-1915), the Vienna-born artist who brought European standards and traditions to the America's cities in the early 20th century.
Be prepared for great variations in weather that are often NOT forecasted on the Weather channel (or any other weather information provider). It has all too often happened that a reportedly clear day turned rainy or vice versa.
While I was in Saint Louis I went dayly to this factory, where the conference of GAS helded several live demonstrations.
I know that, all year long, they provide private demonstrations. And glass is a spectacular art, not to be missed.
(If you are distant from Saint Louis you better know that you may have glass work demonstrations in Crisform - Portugal, another non-proffit school)
