For the most part, I was not impressed with the staff. While they were not rude, no one seemed to go out of their way to be "friendly". The bed in our room was, without fail, the worst hotel bed I have ever slept on. After two nights at the conference I attended, I was suffering severe back pain and was sleep-deprived. I would expect so much more out of the Hammons folks.
The annual conference I attend will be there again this year, but I will be staying somewhere else and driving in for the conference. Not only will I not stay here again, if other conference members ask my opinion, I will suggest they stay elsewhere.
If the Hammons Corporation would just spend a little extra on some decent beds and send their employees to some customer service training, they might be worth the elevated prices they charge compared to other hotels in Springfield.
