Well, you'll feel like you did as a kid traveling the highways, not the interstates, of Missouri! If all you need is a comfortable place to sleep and you don't mind the "front desk" telling you that they "may not be here when you check in, but I'll leave the key in the door." Or, "I'll be at church Sunday morning, so you can pay when I return." The rates are inexpensive and the decor is from the 1970's, but the rooms have a tv, dorm-fridge, clean, comfortable bedding, plenty of towels, and if you don't have enough-just ask for more!
We have 4 kids and have gotten the biggest kick out of staying at the Circle R! They even have a couple of rooms with another adjacent bedroom with 3 twin beds. (Bring the Pack-N-Play if you have a baby.) There's a pop machine that sells cans of pop, and there's no swimming pool, but with beautiful Lake Thunderhead nearby, we don't miss it!
Enjoy the stay!
There are a couple of Motels here, However my preferance is a nite at the lake in a sleeping bag & tent. There are a couple of public campgrounds here. One at the lake, & one at the fairgrounds park.
Priceing verries at the motels as to whats going on at the time. Thats the best I could give ya .
ahhhh no unique qualities to either place really, just good motels. The camping at the park however has full hookups at good prices a nite. Not to bad for a small town.
