Within a 20 minute drive of billings is the new drag strip at Intermountain Motorsports Park In Acton, Montana. Events run just about every weekend from early May to late September. This track is gaining a reputation as one of the finest in the nation and because of this it is drawing drivers from all over the united states and Canada. It is also being sought out for major events like NHRA qualifying. Classes include bikes and sleds, Sport compacts, Jr dragsters, street, outlaw street, Pro modified, funny cars. The pits are open to spectators. Bring sunscreen and seat cushions. The bleacher seeting in un shaded. No coolers are allowed, concessions are available. To get there take 27th street through downtown to the airport, turn left on highway 3 and go 13 miles north to Acton. Turn left at the Acton Steakhouse onto Mainwaring Road. Go 3.5 miles to Raceway lane and turn right at the second gate.
