Suprisingly Good ...
We stayed at the Grand Montana as it was the host venue for our event, the International Mustang Meet. We had read several reviews that presented the property in a bad light, so were pleasantly suprised to find them mostly wrong. I can only assume these reviews were old and somewhat biased. We found our stay pleasant and the rooms were up to standard with any property on the same level. We did not have the preffered tower rooms, but the ones we had were clean, updated, well appointed and with comfy sheets and a great bed. Staff was always helpfull and friendly and eager to assist with any requests. The lobby, lounge and all amenities were clean and where applicable, provided good service. The only small dissapointment is the in house restaurant or 'steakhouse' where the prices are high and the food quality although not bad, is not up to the prices they charge. We'd recomend going a short distance to eat outside of the hotel. Oddly enough the banquet buffet we had at the convention center which is also part of the Hotel, had excellent food.
Unique Quality: This Hotel has good access to Billings, and excellent resaurants and shopping are all nearby. We'd recomend the Texas Roadhouse just across the interstate.

One of the most popular hotels
I have put people in this hotel for work. I have had good reviews for this hotel. I have eaten here. We also have our company Christmas Party here. It is consistent at being on the better side for hotels.
Unique Quality: There is a nice indoor pool. There is a restaurant in house. I do not really recommend the restaurant across the street for dinner. Breakfast is hard to mess up, but the dinners are less than good. The location is really good for being able to shop. The west end of Billings is where most of the shopping is located. They have a shuttle to the airport.

A Grand Experience In Montana
Holiday Inns almost always provides a good stay and many locations welcome pets. This hotel is almost a carbon copy of the HI in Great Falls. At least six stories high it features rooms that open onto an atrium. There are also rooms in two story additions in the rear.
With the dog, our accomdations were in the older rear sections right next to the exit which was great for loading, unloading and exercising her nibs.
The hotel is part of the Billings Convention complex and there are large parking areas and nearby businesses that have large lawns for pet walking. Remember, responsible travelers with pets always make sure to leave no trace that they were there.
The room was large, with coffee and the usual amentities, but no complimentary breakfast.
