KOA Bozeman MT: KOA Bozeman MT

We paid more to stay at this park because of the pool that we were never allowed to go in- not to mention that the employees were so incredibly rude we left early. One manager actually had the nerve to YELL at my two 7 year olds that "they had better stay out of the water park if she did decide to let them in the pool area or else..." "Due to safety concerns and the weather" the pool was closed but we were welcome to pay additional money and use the miniature golf course?! The grass was dead- spots were small- we listened to a dog howl all night and were treated just awfully. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS SITE EVER!!!! (Sunshine Park down the road was wonderful btw :))

Bear canyon campground: Small private campground

This place was once a KOA, about 1/10 th the size of the present Bozeman KOA. It has a tent, or in our case westfalia, area that is very separate from the RV section which makes it nice. It has a nice pool and very clean bathrooms and showers AND it only cost $16. I would highly recommend it.

Unique Quality: Just a few minutes outside of Bozeman but very quiet (except for the trains, why are campgrounds always near train tracks?) They do not call it bear canyon for nothing, evidently was a bear there a few days earlier then we were. Nice to have the westfalia in bear country.

KOA Bozeman: Bozeman hot springs

I am not a big fan of commercial campgrounds but believe it or not finding camping in and around Bozeman is not that easy. This is probably the nicest KOA I have ever stayed at, very clean, big spaces, nice pool and hot tub, most expensive....$31 for a TENT site!

Unique Quality: It is located right next to Bozeman hot springs, used to be affiliated but no longer. However, the shower water is directly from the hot springs and is WONDERFUL!
