Copper King Mansion B & B: Unique accomodations

There are 5 guestrooms, but we were the only guests the night we were there. We were allowed to explore, and it was really fun to live in such elegance for a night. Breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend the experience.

One Note: On days that tours are being given, you can't sleep in late! Checkout time is 9 a.m. because rooms have to be cleaned before the tours start.

Cost varies a lot by room--it ranges from $65 to $115. (The $75 rooms are the ones that share the goofy circular shower

Our room had a private bathroom, but the shared bathroom for 2 other rooms had a really unique shower. The owner said we could try it if we wanted to, and he showed us how to use it.

We not only wanted to try out the shower, we wanted to see what it looked like from outside, so we put on our swimsuits and I took my camera. They refer to it as the Plumber’s Nightmare or the Human Carwash. It has a very large shower head that sprays straight down, and then about 3 circular pipes at different heights that have pinholes in them and spray sideways all around you. There are 4 or 5 knobs and levers that have to be adjusted to make it work. It made quite a scene. (See my photo)

The Rocker Inn: A fine motel in Butte

We found this motel in the AAA book. We took it because we couldn't make it further than Butte that day and because it was cheap enough. It lies at the entrance to Butte, off the high-way coming into the city.
Mostly truckers stayed there (friendly people as I found out). The room was nice and clean and a double room cost 50$. There was a TV and you could also select movies from a list, just needed to tell reception what you wanted to watch. The receptionists were extremely friendly.
There was a coin laundry room there, which came in handy, since after quite a few days of travelling we really needed to wash some clothes.

No unique qualities, but a fair price and a nice motel.
