Yellowstone touring cars

by annk

A fleet of yellow touring cars are housed in Gardiner. They were manufactured by the White Motor Corporation of Cleveland. Drivers were known as "gearjammers" and were the best paid of concession employees.
They are still being used at some of the park lodges. We did see them at Lake Yellowstone Hotel.

"Used to live here"

Hi. I spent 3 years living in Gardiner, while working in Yellowstone. I also worked at the Super 8 in Gardiner. I love Helens burgers (Drive in Corral) and Outlaws Pizza, they have a "mean" Cowboy pizza with chicken and barbque sauce...yum. This town is better than the little town in "Northern Exposure" Have a great time and make sure to have at least one breakfast at the Town Cafe. They serve up a mean corned beef hash...crispy if you like it.

Cute Gardiner Montana

by pulgaron

"Gardiner Monatana"

This is a cute little town. Claim to fame: the original entrance point to Yellow Stone National Park. Most buildings downtown Gardiner are western, with plenty of wood showing, sort of log cabin type, including the Motel 6, which looks pretty cute for a chain motel.
