TROUT, TROUT, TROUT
by travelgourmet
The Bitterroot River runs for about 84 miles and near and in Hamilton, the beauty of the surroundings makes the river seem like the place for total relaxation. All types of trout: Brook, Brown, Rainbow, Cutthroat, and Westslope Cutthroat. Hamilton is a great town to bed down in, right in the middle of the action, with restaurants such as the Spice of Life. See the Fishaus Fly Fishing for fishing details. Artificial lures only and catch and release on Cutthroat. Fly fishing is very big as is float fishing.
A VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS & GIFT STORE
by travelgourmet
The Brooks Christmas & Gifts store is a year-round winter season gift store and its all displayed in a 1894 Victorian home. Visiting this store is amazing for the year-round Christmas related gifts.
The real kick for me is seeing this old Victorian sitting in a small rural town called Corvallis, a short distance north of Hamilton. Call for hours, as they do vary in off season. Located at 1074 Eastside Highway, Corvallis, Montana.

"A great place to live"
Hamilton is a very laid back town, it does get a lot of tourist but they fuel our economy. I work in a restaurant and so we depend on that, although we stay pretty busy even out of season. We are about halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier national parks, in the middle of the Bitterroot valley. We have the Bitterroot river running through the middle of it all and it has really good fishing so Imeet people from all over the United States year after year.
this is the town looking down from blogett overlook.
this is our river and it is right behind my house....a couple minute walk but its all city park so its very nice to live in town and have this be your backyard. what you are looking at is the same mountain the previous picture was taken from.
