"A COUNTY MUSEUM"
WE PASSED THIS MUSEUM while driving into town on the main highway from the west. It is called the Gage County Historical Society Museum, and is located at 2nd and Court Streets.
The town is located about 35 miles straight south of Lincoln on highway 77. Highway 136 runs through town in an east-west direction.
Just a few miles west of town is the Homestead National Monument.

THIS IS DOWNTOWN BEATRICE, with some interesting buildings and lots of shops to browse.
Many one-way streets and a left-turn signal that only lets one car through add to the confusion, however.
