Take in the scenic wonders...

...by strolling around the area just south of the State Capitol on a warm summer's evening. There are lovely old homes and lots of big trees where you can hear the locusts sing. Breathe deeply and inhale the smell of grass that's freshly cut. It's very relaxing and retro (in good kind of way).
However, if it's breathtaking vistas you crave, you may wish to look elsewhere... My Aunt Agnes (but she moved to Vegas in 90, and died in 1998). The place just isn't the same without her. She was the best! :o)
International Lincoln

When visiting New York City, they say "never eat in the same restaurant twice". I am pleasantly surprised that we are able to follow the same practice in Licoln, Nebraska (otherwise not likely to be mistaken for NYC). In addition to the plethora of fine steakhouses one would expect to find in America's Heartland, Lincoln has a large variety of Mexican, Indian, and Thai restaurants and markets. In addition, being a college town, there are many coffeehouses and brew pubs scattered around Lincoln's easily-walkable downtown area.
