Laidback gambling, comfortable atmosphere

The Pinon Plaza has modest rooms. The usual hotel beds, hotel tv, hotel bathroom. Nothing fancy. But in good repair and comfortable.

There are two restaurants on site. The steakhouse is probably a little over-priced, but it is nice for a sit down dinner. The Branding Iron Cafe serves standard fare and is good for breakfast.

Don't miss the margarita bar which features over 40 kinds of margaritas.

Unique Quality: The casino is great. Not terribly crowded. The dealers are nice. There is a sportsbook on premises. The bartenders and waitresses are usually quick with your orders. And when you have lost your limit--go bowl a few frames.

I stay at the Pinon each year for a golf outing. I thoroughly enjoy my time in Carson City. Last year I even left town with $300 more than I arrived with.
