A short drive south, down I-88 leads one to Hope Valley, CA. Hope Valley is just a magnificently beautiful area. It's great to hike in the Spring and Summer, and it's great to snowshoe in the Winter. If you get the chance, take a trip down to Hope Valley.

I've lived in Gardnerville for 17 years now. The last few years I've spent most of my time in Illinois, but Gardnerville is still a place I enjoy coming home to. It's nestled between two beautiful mountain ranges, is a short drive from beautiful Lake Tahoe, and a short drive from the bigger city benefits of Carson City and Reno. It's just a nice little place.

Gardnerville is a small town just south of Carson City (the state capital) and just East of Beautiful Lake Tahoe. Gardnerville has a large Basque community and because of this they have some very good Basque restaurants. It's worth the short drive from Lake Tahoe to experience this wonderful food.
