More about Holiday Inn Express Henderson

Great "Off-Off " Strip Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member LasVegasMike

Holiday inn Express, Henderson, Nevada.

We recently stayed two nights with some extended family members during a recent reunion. We live nearby,
but didn't want to miss out on all of the fun.
This hotel is just a few blocks South of Sunset Road, and is adjacent to a Fairfield Inn. There are multiple fast food restaurants nearby- with some additional Casual Dining options as well.
There is a Gaming-Restaurant a few steps away, "Instant Replay,"
and Sunset Station Casino is just a quick walk down a stone pathway.
Rooms are clean - reception desk personnel are polite - some rooms are "Kid-Suites.” Good HIE breakfast buffet.
We stayed in an Executive Room, and were very pleased.
I would say that from this location, you could drive to the
South Point Casino in appx 10- 15 minutes, and to The Tropicana Hotel in appx 30 - 40 minutes- depending on traffic.
Oh, McCarran Airport is appx 20 minutes away. Huge Shopping Mall is just north of Sunset Station Casino.
Good- basic- clean Holiday Inn Express.

Excellent Casino free Las Vegas option

A most welcome standard of service from a well recommended hotel, chosen as an overnight stop en-route through the Las Vegas area for a family with 2 adults, 2 young children and an infant.

The hotel is in a typical location for a Holiday Inn Express, set amongst the uninspiring landscape of malls and pizza parlours that exists between Las Vegas and Henderson. It is surprisingly convenient for Las Vegas airport.

The hotel has been designed very well, and on entry has a high quality feel that belies the branding and makes an excellent first impression. If booked into a kid's suite, there is plenty of space for the price and a theme style to the room that will captivate most young children. Our suite had a bunk bed designed as a covered wagon, with decor to match the cowboy theme. The bathroom was a standard layout and was spotlessly clean. The master bed was extremely comfortable with very pleasant linen.

The hotel has been built alongside a Hampton Inn, and the recreational facilities are shared. The facilities consist of an outside pool and hot tub that are tucked away behind the Hampton Inn, but convenient for the side exit of the Holiday Inn. On the morning of our departure, staff members were working to clean up the pool, as overnight it would appear to collect a fair amount of detritus from the surrounding palm trees and other bushes. The pool area was clean and it is safe.

Service at the hotel was excellent throughout our stay. From the moment that we were greeted, the staff were interactive and only too willing to help. This seems to be the result of a very well implemented corporate philosophy of genuine hospitality, in a group of Holiday Inns operated by one particular franchisee. During our stay it was excellent to experience this, and the kids ate their bodyweight in fresh cookies and milk that are served every night in the foyer.

The hotel is not a budget option, but the value for money is excellent. It is also well worth the extra 10 minutes to get away from the strip and associated noise. These factors combine with the courteous staff to make this very clean hotel an excellent choice if travelling with young children. Overall it rates well above average in its class of hotel and would be an excellent flagship for the Holiday Inn Express brand.

The best people anywhere

The staff at the hotel were the best. We had to stay an extra day in Vegas because of bad weather back home and didn't trust are flight. Walk in with no reservation and was given a good price on the room. Great barbque at dinner time and fresh baked cookies that evening. The pool was heated and very clean for an outside pool. Great bed extra pillows and towels with nice shower. The morning breakfast was very good with the warm buns and french toast. I would like to thank the staff for the great attitude and frendly smiles.

Very Satisfied, worth the money

I stayed 2 nights here in November and was very happy with the accommodations, service, cleanliness, and breakfast. Since I was getting up very early every morning, I was concerned about noise, but that was not a problem at all. If you are a birder, this is a great place to stay because it is 10 minutes away from the Henderson Birding Preserve.

Good hotel, but pricey

by TripAdvisor Member ToonTravel

Stayed here for two nights at the weekend in April 2007. Hotel was good, check in staff were very friendly, handing out candy on arriving. Cookies and milk each evening at 7pm was a nice touch and breakfast was the usual, cereal, bagels, toast, fruit, coffee, juice etc. There was ample room to sit and eat breakfast even though it was busy.

The room itself was nice and clean, although quite pricey, given that I'd moved here from the Orleans to escape high weekend rates. At just over $100 a night it was quite expensive for what it was. I've stayed in just as good accommodation in Henderson/Summerlin area for $70, so something must have been pushing the room rates up whilst I was there.

All in all, a good hotel that I would certainly recommend staying in if you don't mind relocating to the suburbs for the weekend.

Great hotel away from the hustle of Las Vegas

by TripAdvisor Member sulitster

I just like to say that this hotel is fantastic. Even if I have to pay the regular rate, I still would stay here. The service is impeccable. The employees are all friendly and very helpful. The front desk person in the afternoon was all smiles and very cordial. The housekeepers did an immaculate job in cleaning my room, it was spotless and properly stocked. The person working the morning breakfast bar is very organized and friendly. She always was there to take awayt used paper plates and utensils as soon as a guest is finished eating and the tables are all clean. I could go on but won't. My stay here is very warm and pleasant. This property is in the suburbs but really not that far from the strip. It is surrounded by lots of eateries, both local and national names and if gambling is your thing then it is right next door to the Sunset Station Henderson. It is also close to a local mall. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in Las Vegas and would definitely recommend this particular hotel to everybody.

Nothing says "welcome" like a warm cookie and a cold glass of milk.

Came during the Nascar event in Las Vegas. Was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful the staff was here. They also had a nice reception with dinner for the event, which was included in the price of the room. We found our room on Smartertravel.com. Here is an insider tip. Sign up as a "Priority Member", before you reserve your room. You will get 5 star treatment when you check in. We were upgraded to a kid's suite and we all got a bag of snacks and water bottle. There was also the aroma of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies when we walked in the door. Will visit again.

Great Experience - wonderful staff!

by TripAdvisor Member Barb4ever

We only stayed 2 nights but enjoyed our entire stay. Eveyone was so gracious and accommodating. Very happy, cheerful environment - great experience. Rooms were great and very clean.
My daughter and her family came in for a one night stay and they provided her with the "kid friendly" room (forgot what it was called). It was just great!
We will stay there again on our next visit.

Nice hotel outside the strip

by TripAdvisor Member jasontraci2006

i stayed at this hotel for a few days using my priority club points when I was attending local racing event. Check in was easy, hotel lobby was nice. Beds were fantastic. Would like to have a conintenal breakfast or something in the morning. There is a sit down restaurant that you have to pay to eat at which is pricey.
