    • There many hotel/motels to choose from. Of course, going there during the week you have alot more to choose from and the prices are better.

  • Directions: There are the major hotels on the strip, but if you go one street behind the strip the prices drop as well. It only take 5-10 minutes to walk to the strip from there.

    El Dorado Casino: Reno's Best Hotel Room

    • I've stayed at all the major Casino's in the Reno area and I keep coming back to the El Dorado. I can usually find the best price on their website. The hotel elevator will take you directly to the casino. Great room service. Nice eateries.

    • We were looking for a place that is pet-friendly and ended up finding this diamond in the rough. About 20 minutes southeast of the Strip, you'll enjoy all the amenities of home and experience consistency, quality and comfort when you stay at this Hawthorn Suites. The hotel offers suites which are spacious (some have full or efficiency kitchens), exercise facilities, video cassette players and on-site guest laundry and valet service. Friendly staff and of course room for our pets...add on $15.00/day fee.

    You wake up to their daily complimentary hot breakfast buffet and in the evening you can enjoy their social hour (at most locations). Business travelers will enjoy the in-room business services, featuring an oversized work area complete with dual phone lines and data port, personal voice mail and daily complimentary newspaper. High-speed internet access is also available at many Hawthorn properties.

    • Excellent, freindly staff, nothing was an inconvenience, easy parking, security always visible. A wonderful lake waklk behind the hotel to enjoy when needing a quiet stroll. Easy distance to retail parks.

    VRBO is Vacation Rental By Owner. Many people that own condos enlist them on VRBO for rent - often times at EXTREMELY reasonable prices. As many people know, these days many new hotels build in a number of condos - this means that if you want to stay at a particular hotel you may find it on VRBO!

    I've been using VRBO for several years now and have got fantastic rates at amazing places! For instance, in Las Vegas I stayed at the new Palms tower in Vegas. The Palms Place tower is all condos and you get your own private pool (as well as access to the main pool), I've also stayed at the Lake Las Vegas Resort. Other places I've booked through VRBO can be found on my other destination pages.

    A few reasons why VRBO is great: You save money. Instead of paying nightly for a room with a bed or two inside, you often are pleasantly surprised by bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and sometimes laundry rooms - all for prices lower than hotel rates! Now, you may think that the hotels are in a better location...that's not the case. I've stayed at places that are in MUCH better locations than any hotel! In Chicago I stayed in The Loop, fifty stories up in the heart of downtown. In Boston I stayed in Little Italy, next door to amazing restaurants and bars. Great places for great prices!

    Orleans HOtel: Orleans Hotel a great bargain

    • The Orleans is a great hotel if you don't mind staying o couple miles off the strip.

    All of the rooms are mini suites, the staff is terrific and the reasonably priced food is tasty. The slots were loose and the dealers helpful. Weather didn't permit a trip to the pool but there's a nice fitmmess center, a business center, a bowling alley and a movie theater. They provide a free shuttle to the strip and an inexpensive airport shuttle.
