new mangement
the aztec is now under new management , great staff loose slots and a more personable experience than the big places also the new pizza buffet is fantastic i definetly reccomend trying this gem again you will love it all the locals do plus youll see some pretty exciting things on graveyard,daytime is more respctful but any shift except swing during th week is good mean woman bartender that need a attitude change.
Unique Quality: awesome bar ,cheap liquor, smaller casino faser sevice, windows to see outside and a clock

Not the best accommodation choice.
We got a room here because they were advertising cheap rooms.
The set up was two storey motel accomodation directly across from The Stratosphere ( where we should have stayed for a few dollars extra )
The location at the far end of the strip just highlighted our bad choice but it was hot, we were tired from the long drive and we just wanted somewhere to call home for a couple of days.
Unique Quality: This is tricky... I can't say anything good about it at all.
The room was your basic motel set-up with two double beds, TV, small table and chairs and small bathroom.
The air conditioning gave us no end of grief, it was always hotter inside than out.
Would I recommend it ?

Would I choose to stay here again?
NO

Has The Aztec Inn Changed In The Last 15 Years?
I knew the Aztec Inn back in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Are the Apts in back of it still motel rooms, or are they Apts. again? Has the neighborhood finally changed? It was pretty rough back then. Who finally owns the pace now?

A: "West Rim is closer to Las Vegas, but is a huge tourist trap. It isn't actually located inside Grand Canyon National Park. It's a privately run casino / resort type place."
