This casino has a great slot club, tailored mainly for the locals, plus many times throughout the day offer double points for play. If I lived in Las Vegas, I would probably visit this property more than the others i've mentioned. However, as a tourist attraction, it doesn't offer a great deal.
Great music, great 'oldies' groups, for an excellent price. If you're in your fifties, this is the place to come for entertainment. | | | | Luxor Hotel & Casino: Grab a suite if you can... Compare Rates NEW! | Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
Having read about peoples dreadful check in nightmares, I was concerned. Everything was fine, the reception is spacious, although a little dark, as is the whole of the pyramid. We were given the opportunity of a discounted upgrade to a suite. There were 3 of us, and it was lovely. Nice living room, and 2 seperate bedrooms either side, in East Tower. Quietest rooms I've ever stayed in, and immaculately clean. Shower was the most powerful I've ever used. I'd recommend it for the facilities, but it is right at one end of the strip and in high summer that can be a problem as it is too blooming hot to walk about.
Really good breakfast choices in food court upstairs in pyramid. Luxor Coffee Company do very nice pastries and good tea and coffee. View from our windows was of Excalibur, but could see mountains in the distance. | | | | Excalibur Hotel Casino: One of my favorite places.... Compare Rates NEW! | Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
Although there are many hotels in Vegas that compare and even outshine the Excaliber, this will always be one of my favorites. My family and I stayed here and it was the first time I had ever used a "credit card" instead of a key to open the door, so I was pretty faxcinated...there are two pools, and since it represents a castle, everything inside gives you the feeling that you are in the presence of Royalty. It is children friendly, as are most of the hotels in Vegas, however, if you are single or a couple you will still have a good time...on the complete opposite side of Circus Circus, FYI. If you want something even more fancy and elegant, or somewhere with a more adult vibe, the Bellagio or New York New York may be more to your liking....
The two pools are both great, you can get lost in the otel finding you way around (at least I did!!!), and it is within walking distance to the other great hotels... Leave a Comment Theme: HotelComparison: about averageAddress: 3850 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109

 | | | | Las Vegas Hilton: Adjoining the Convention Centre Compare Rates NEW! | Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
Love this casino, rooms are great, but cater to the businessman on an expense account, therefore I find prices a 'bit' too high in general terms. This is an all round resort, and a person would not need to leave the property if they had no desire to. Casino is well lit, more than most, but I find it rather smokey, but they have good slot machines. Good restaurants, a step above the average for regular meals, and great Italian and Chinese close by. (unable to remember the names, but cater to convention business, always busy)
Good all round facilities...golf etc. Unfortunately, the hotel is located a little off the beaten track, and a taxi is required to visit most other casinos. Hubby wanted to go to the top of the Tower...I decided to stay on the ground floor. Very smart , and I have to say, very French! The ladies loos are so Parisian, it made me chuckle. If the pictures he took are anything to go by, the trip up the tower is worth it. | | | | Treasure Island - Ti: An ok hotel in Las Vegas Compare Rates NEW! | Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
I can't describe my stay at the Treasure Island Hotel as good or bad. Let's just say it was ok! I think the hotel is very unpersonal and lacks character and charm. The check in and check out are made automatically, though you will have to wait in a long line for it. The hotel was full at the time I was there and it seems it's always like that. The rooms are ok, large, clean , but very boring. everything is beige, no touch of colour anywhere, no flower or anything to give it charm. The bathrooms were also large and had all the amenities you need. Be prepared to wait in line for breakfast too. Whether at the restaurant or at the downstairs Starbucks. Lines are usual. There is a large casino, always with many people gambling . The hotel also has many night entertainements and shows though I didn't got to any of them. The best feature of the Treasure Island is , in my opinion, its location on the Strip, where you can walk anywhere and to the main hotels. The price is also reasonable due to its location. Maybe your best less expensive bet on the Strip.

 | | | | Barbary Coast Hotel and Casino: BARBARY COAST Compare Rates NEW! | Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
I stayed at the Barbary Coast hotel for 5 days in February 2004,and cant fault it on anything. The location is great and the prices low, compared to a lot of hotels along the strip. My room was large with 2 queen beds,2 tables with chairs, and a sideboard. Although there was no wardrobe there was a small unit next to the bathroom with hangers to hang your clothes on,although it would be a little cramped for more than one person. There was a decent sized shower, sink and bath and plenty of clean fresh towels,as well as 2 good sized mirrors. I had a view of the side of the Flamingo hotel, with a little of the strip visible, but i was not bothered about a view so no problem there. I was in room 339 on the 3rd floor only about 25 yards from the elevator, which was never more than half full during my stay. The casino is smaller than a lot but easy to find your way around, and the slots are not as tight as some. Plenty of places to eat including the award winning Michael's and Drai's,as well as the Victorian room where i had a 16oz t.bone steak dinner for only $12.00. Tuesday to Friday you can hear big Elvis(Pete Vallee) in the lounge from 3pm until 6pm,and he puts on a great show which i enjoyed very much. I really like this hotel and will be looking to stay here on my next trip to Vegas in the future. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have since stayed here another 3 times,August of 2004,February of 2006 and lastly in July of 2006. The 2nd time i stayed here i had a king room, which are located on the opposite side to the queen rooms facing Ballys, giving a great view of most of the south strip and part of the Bellagio fountains. Since my 2nd stay in 2004 the rooms have been renovated, and a new 42" tv has replaced the old smaller one.
One of the best things about the Barbary Coast is that because its the smallest hotel on the strip it only takes a couple of minutes to get from your room to the street, unlike some other hotels where it can take ages.
