Paris/ Bally's

by written on May 31, 2003

Although separate hotels from the outside, these two hotels are linked internally, (making it so much easier to get lost!) We stayed in Bally's which was fine (we only stayed for 1 night).

Unique Quality: The 'Frenchness' is quite authentic; french bread and cooking are great

Convenient and affordable during the week

by written on May 17, 2003

We really liked staying here...it may have had something to do with being upgraded to the Celebrity Suite for free! Bally's is convenient, comfortable, and has a lot of package deals with neighboring Paris, Las Vegas.

You do have to walk through the casino, but it's easy to avoid the main part if you want to. One draw back is that the beautiful pool is VERY FAR from the room we were in. It was also quite crowded on Friday morning.

Unique Quality: The staff was very friendly and willing to help out with all sorts of questions.

We stayed during the week, and the price is best on Monday/Tuesday, obviously.

A Casino type Casino

by written on May 14, 2003

I stayed here for a conference. I got a better deal on the internet, from the Bally's website than I did from the conference 'special offers'!

Rooms are very big and have great setups if you need to plug in your laptop to work (as I did).

Didn't like that other things like working out in the health club were an extra charge.

Unique Quality: This is a more typical yet very classy Vegas casino - no fancy themes but very clean and shiney. Lots and lots of gambling, well laid out and efficiently run. Well, it's sort of clean -- it does have those show girl shows (titties, feathers and all) which are probably only worth being seen at a discount (a friend won tickets for free or I'd have never gone, but it was interesting 'culture', I suppose - tackiest music I've heard in a long time, though I suppose that's not why most of the guys were there).

Directions: Across from the Bellagio and next to Paris Las Vegas on the main strip. Does anyone else think their entrance looks like something out of Logan's Run (1970s sci fi movie)?

Central is Essential

by written on September 13, 2002

While this hotel is only a hotel and doesn't have a lot of the crazy lights and features of many other hotels, it has three things going for it. 1. Less expensive, 2. Great Pool area, and 3. Central location. Recommended for those that aren't going to be hanging around in their room - then again if you are going to do that, why go to Vegas?

Unique Quality: The pool was great, especially the cubbyholes you could sit in and cool off.

Bally's Casino Resort

by written on August 25, 2002

Prices are really going to depend on the nights you stay--during the week it is so inexpensive, but rates jack up on Fridays and Saturdays.

Unique Quality: Since its opening Bally's Las Vegas has been considered one of the city's most elegant resorts, offering its guests 'a touch of class' in every aspect of service. Bally's Las Vegas has two 26-story hotel towers which offer guest rooms overlooking the magnificent panoramic views of the neon-hued Las Vegas Strip and the picturesque mountains.

BALLY'S... at a key crossroads

by written on August 24, 2002

GREAT LOCATION -- BALLY'S
While I've not stayed at Bally's I know the casino and friends have stayed there. In fact I just talked with someone who was recently there (2006)

Bally's Savings !
Like most LV properties, the prices vary tremendously depending on demand.

Check their website where prices have ranged from $59 to $209!

Unique Quality: It is the Old MGM but remodelled and in the Center of the South Strip. Across from Bellagio, next to Paris, near Flamingo Hilton and Ceasar's Palace. A good location!!

Directions: Center Strip

I stayed at Bally's Hotel and...

I stayed at Bally's Hotel and Casino. It was really nice.
I'm sure it was EXPENSIVE, but I'm not sure.

Unique Quality: If you enter from the back, there are these huge, coloured arches that are lit up. They change colours and music plays. You go under them on a moving sidewalk. You get off of that and get on a small escalator. Then another moving sidewalk through these glass doors, then, you guessed it! Escalator! That's all. It is a really cool thing to go through.

Directions: Near Ceasar's Palace and next to the new Paris Hotel

Bally's - while I am sure...

Bally's - while I am sure most of the hotels there are equal in quality, we found those at Bally's exceptional.

Unique Quality: As with most of the hotels in Las Vegas, you can find special prices. They are very reasonable.

Bally's has everything you would need, or want. Pools, spa, gym, view, casino, restaurants, etc.
