    The hotels... That's what it's...

The hotels... That's what it's all about in Las Vegas! This is The Bellagio. I had breakfast here, and it was good!

    Nicest Hotel on the Strip

    by

If you are looking to stay at a top of the line, luxurious hotel with a great location, then the Bellagio is THE place to stay.

Unique Quality: Deluxe rooms- large by Vegas standards. With all the upscale amenities. Unbelieveable lobby (glass sculpture on ceiling- by Chiluli- the largest of its kind in the world). Spectacular pools (there are 6). Bellagio's ten restaurants, including Le Cirque, Olives and Picasso (which features the resort's collection of original Picasso artwork), offer an elegant array of dining choices. Home to Cirque du Soleil's spectacular 'O,' the Bellagio's grounds also feature an exquisite botanical garden, pool, and the famous Bellagio fountains. Shops on the Via Bellagio include Chanel, Hermes and Prada. And of course, there is the casino-- perhaps Las Vegas' most elegant place to gamble.

An 11-acre lake features a Nightly Water Show with 1,000 Fountains. I would request a lake view room facing Las Vegas Boulevard to watch the water shows which is scheduled every 15 to 30 minutes throughout the evening. The best experience is to stand around the lake and watch the show with music played in an expensive speaker sound system that surrounds it.

Directions: At the corner of Flamingo Rd. In the middle of the strip.

The Bellagio -- the best in town!!!

    by

Unique Quality: I've never stayed in a hotel in Las Vegas until this recent visit -- always with friends -- but from my tour of the strip The Bellagio looked like the only HOTEL, as opposed to a casino with rooms. [I was seriously underwhelmed by Paris, for example] It was light and GORGEOUS!!! Now who will pay the bill for me?
    .
Highlights of the Bellagio public areas include the Dale Chihuly glass ceiling in the lobby area and the beautiful, seasonally changed, gardens just beyond the lobby.
    .
Of the restaurants/bars I'd recommend The Petrossian Bar in the lobby for a great people-watching perch and Olives in the shopping area for a stylish Mediterranean lunch.

    Bellagio

Unique Quality: The Bellagio is a newer (built in the mid-'90s) Vegas hotel that really provides some of the most luxurious accomodations in town. It has incredible rooms, gardens, fountains and even an outstanding collection of fine art.

The Place I'd Want to Stay

    by

We DID NOT stay at the Bellagio, but that is where I'd stay were I ever to return. Or maybe Paris, even if it did seem a bit hokey.

UPDATE: 2004 we DID stay here. Gigantic rooms, marble bathroom (must have been 20x12) VERY CERTAINLY this is the place to stay!

Unique Quality: Compared to the other places, the Bellagio seemed really classy. Sure, you needed to walk through the casino, but it looked so sophisticated, with canopies and plush carpets, sort of muting the flashing lights and electronic bells...

Directions: You really don't need addresses in Vegas. Everything is just...THERE.

    Bellagio
Average room rates: $159-$600, will vary based on season and the day of the week. Room rates can fluctuate widely and change without notice.

Unique Quality: This is a gorgeous hotel! As you enter the Bellagio from the street, you can ride up the moving walkways. As you go up the moving walkway, my favorite opera singer, Andrea Bocelli, is usually playing from the outside speakers, setting the atmosphere. The Bellagio offers a monorail to the Monte Carlo, which is really nice and has saved my feet several times. The indoor garden, The Conservatory, is beautiful and smells incredible. My only hesitation is this hotel for some reason, attracts cigar smokers.
The Bellagio has 3,000 rooms and offers concierge services, hair dryers, irons, same-day laundry and dry cleaning, twice-daily housekeeping service.
For the gamblers: 116,000 sq. ft. Casino games include Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Keno, Let It Ride, Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, Sportsbook, Slots, Big Six, Baccarat, Megabucks.
Twelve specialty restaurants to tantalize your taste buds: Aqua, Cafe Bellagio, Le Cirque, Circo, Sam's American, Olives, Jasmine, Shintaro, Prime, Noodles, Picasso, The Buffet, and Cafe Gelato, Palio, Petrossian Bar, Pool Cafe and Sam's Snacks.
Miscellaneous information: 1,800-seat showroom features the show 'O' from Cirque du Soleil, The Fountains at Bellagio is a water and light show choreographed to music, Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art.
It takes a staff of 115 to maintain the flowers and plants in the conservatory area. The glass flower sculpture on the ceiling in the lobby features 2,000 individually-blown glass pieces and covers 2,000 square feet of ceiling. The fountains span 1,000 feet of water and soar as high as 240 feet in the air.

Thank you everyone who gave me reviews on the Bellagio.

I was going to book a transfer from the airport to the hotel it was pricy sounds like the best way is the shuttle?????

I believe the shuttle we used was called "Showtime" -- it was $4.50 per person one way.

It depends on how many of you there are.

If your alone then yes the shuttle bus is fine at less than $5.00 one way or around $9.00 return.

But if there are two or more of you then a taxi is best and will only cost between $10.00 and $15.00 depending on how many red lights you hit or if your driver takes the tunnel.

Me and "her indoors " caught a cab from the airport to the Bellagio which was pretty cheap as far as I can remember. We caught a cab back at the end of our trip, so it can't have been that bad ! !

Have you got a lakeview room ? If not try to get a deal on an upgrade - it's worth it.

Have a great time.
