Sitting in a nightclub

by Shellyo11

Is there any place these days to go dancing and sit a spell without having to pay for bottle service or for a table????

Re: Sitting in a nightclub

by Aloe9678

I will admit it's been a few years since I've been to Vegas, so things may have changed, but usually the bottle service was only in the V.I.P. area (I visited Studio 54, Rum Jungle, Forty Deuce and Ra. I love Vegas!

Travel Tips for Las Vegas

Wear sensible shues!

by skanda

If you want to see the hotels and casinos on the strip, plan where you want to go first. The strip is very long and the distance between the casinos must not be underestemated. Use the monrail if possible, or take ypur car.
If you want to sees the shows or extras, make sure you know when they start. We waited for 45 minutes at the vulcanos eruption, and that's a long time to be standing on the sidewalk! The show at the Treasure island is fun to see. So is the musical fountain at the Bellagio and the talking fountain inside Caesers. Don't fall for the gondola ride. It is a real tourist trap. Than again, that's Las Vegas!

The sneaky slots

by TempNomad

I enjoyed playing the slots, but I really limited myself. Not having the guts to sit at the tables for blackjack (I love that game!), I resigned myself to playing the electronic version, but it definitely seems regulated. There were way too many 14 and 15 combos doled out!

At the bars you can play and get free drinks, at the other machines you sometimes have to wait a while for the nice lady to come around. Leave while you're ahead! I won 84 bucks!

Entertainment Book (Part 2) ~Informal Dining~

by Christlike

This is a must for any vacation in America! This is a thick book composed of "buy-1-get-1-free" coupons to hundreds of places. There is a fine dining or classy section of coupons. There is also a casual section. For those who like Jack in the Box and other informal restaurant, they have that section too. In addition, there are quite a few coupons to various shops and online companies, which offer 25% and below off products. And Finally, there are many hotels listed in the back of the book which offer 50% off rack room rates. The list contains all the participants across the U.S. You can usually finds these books at colleges and universities or you can buy one online at http://www.entertainment.com. These books usually go on sale around October and they all expire November the following year. Usually around February, you can get the books around half price, just because the company doesn't want to get stuck with any printed books. I just bought 2 books for Vegas at $12.50 each, which includes free shipping. Below, is a list of all the fine dining and casual restaurants which offer the "buy-1-get-1-free." I have only listed the restaurants in Vegas, however, there are a few in Henderson, Boulder City, Bullhead City, Jean, Mesquite, and Laughlin. My other page entitled: Entertainment Book (Part 1), has a list of all the fine dining & casual coupons listed in the book. And my other page entitled: Entertainment Book (Part 3), has a list of all attraction coupons listed in the book.

A: "West Rim is closer to Las Vegas, but is a huge tourist trap. It isn't actually located inside Grand Canyon National Park. It's a privately run casino / resort type place."
