by pj2904
Hi,
Visiting soon and I was just wondering where I can find free Wi-Fi access (if anywhere in Vegas)
Thanks. .

I don't know specifically the free wifi situation in Las Vegas, but in the US there's free wifi in McDonald's and Starbucks Cafe.
I doubt there is free wifi in the casino resorts due to security reasons.

There are lists here:
http://www.vegas4locals.com/freewifi.html
http://www.openwifispots.com/cityguide_free_wifi_wireless_hotspot-Las_Vegas_NV.aspx
How up-to-date they are I do not know.

Terrible's Hotel and Casino has free wifi. They're one of the few decent hotels near the Strip that offer it. I usually drive off the Strip and go to a coffee shop but, then again, I don't really like the Strip.

Welcome to Vt Gloria.
The OP wants to find free wifi access in LA rather than find himself.

Travel Tips for Las Vegas
MUST SEE VEGAS BY NIGHT.
by monner01
Las Vegas by night in a helicopter flying down the strip. Absoulutely awesome. It is truly breath taking as you fly past the Luxor and Mandalay Bay seeing how huge the MGM is and New York New York, oh yeah and in between them is Excalibur, I don't rate that one really, but if you time your flight correct you see the fountains at The Bellagio. You turn at The Stratosphere , then realise how truly huge it is then it's back up the strip over Ceasars Palace and back to the helipad. Fantastic. My wife and I have been to Las Vegas twice and each time have ben on this night flight. My best memory of Las Vegas isn't really Las Vegas itself but it is two things that I did while there and they were flying by helicopter to The Grand Canyon. Now that is AWE INSPIRING. So huge and wonderful. Fabulous. Then there's my skydive in the desert. Truly crapped myself but was so exhilerating that I would love to do another one. AWESOME DUDE.
Gambling isn't the only thing in Vegas.

I'm not a big gambler but I always find my way back to Vegas once to twice a year. I don't know what it is about this city but it's addicting! If you can pull yourself away from the tables and slot machines be sure to see what else Vegas has to offer.
Be sure to check out my other pages for Vegas. There's so much to do and see!!! All of the INTERESTING people you see and meet in Vegas. WHAT A TOWN!

I thought walking through the whole strip was so much fun! well it's kind of hard to say about my best memory of Vegas because my family and i went there for my grandmother's funeral :-( yes she loved Vegas and that was why she moved there and unfortunately she had to die :-( But I thought it was fun just being there and watch people gamble and the nice weather and the cheap food.

walk down the strip and try to keep your jaw off the sidewalk!!! The enormity is overwhelming!! The best massage I ever had was at the Spa at the Luxor Hotel. I had been driving for three days on my way to Phoenix from Alberta and my shoulders and my back were so sore. A good massage was just what I needed and it was soooo great. I felt so pampered from the showers(with a different scent in every stall) to the massage to the whirlpool and steam room, I got all that for $55 US. I was so relaxed, and I had one of the best sleeps in my life after that. It seems a strange thing to happen in Vegas of all places but it was sooo fantastic!!

Here's a map of the Strip to get you oriented. This is where all the action happens, but if you want to have a more peaceful visit, Las Vegas is one of the faster growing cities in the U.S., and there are plenty of other places to find cheap lodging and other entertainment. Check out www.vegasfreedom.com for more information on Las Vegas.
